i just got a 27 on the december act (in the midst of finals week, actually forgot i had act until the night before, forgot a calculator, forgot the last 20 questions in one section....just very very bad). on top of that i also took the sat 3 times and never got better than a 1350 combined. but i'm going to study this time and take them again in january. assuming i do well on the sat in january (i'd be happy w/ a 1450 frankly) will colleges still look at all of my past testing and be turned off and hold it against me?

btw i'm applying transfer to uva, georgetown and yale (pfff right). i have a lot of other things going for me than my test scores. i'm not planning on getting in on great scores, i just want them to be good enough so i'm not rejected out right

how are you applying transfer...are you in college already or something? and if you are, can you take the sat's? sorry, i was just kinda confused

wow efs424........I wish I was in a position where I could say that a 27 is a "baaad" score. That's not a bad score at all, but I do understand that it may not be good enough to get you into the schools of your choice..but the national average is around 20/21.....isn't 27 composite around 90th percentile? Thats really not bad....

Anyway, good luck on your next try and I hope you get th score you want.
