I want to go to a good school and have great stats except for grades

My SAT II's are Physics: 800, Math II: 800, Chemistry: 790

SAT I: 2360

EC's:
Pretty Good; take word for it

AP's:
Really Good; just take my word for it

The point is can someone who has good other stats but bad grades get in

Grades:
BAD; Received 1 B in Sophomore year in History, 1 B in Freshman year in English, 1 B+ Junior year in history.

My GPA was weighted quite good: 4.424.

But will the B's (in non-MathScience courses) hurt my College chances?

Applying to;
Cornell
MIT
Caltech
Carnegie
Columbia
UCLA

I heard the myth, 1 B = no ivy shot, but i goto a difficult high school, and received 3 b's in non-math-science.

It's a holistic approach.

A few sprinkled B's do not exclude you from the elite universities.

Don't worry about it and try harder next time.

3 B's - omg, you're totally fine

lol.

My friend got into Yale with

about a 3.6 UW, 1370 SAT. Not a recruited athlete or anything like that.

Your grades won't keep you out of anywhere on your list. Its up to the rest of your application (and a little bit of luck) to get you in!

i, too, have low GPA and high SATs... i hope that u have a chance, cuz then... I WILL!!! YES!!!

This shouldnt be a question

your GPA was rated quite WELL I believe it should be

This is a ridiculous question. A person who b*tches over 3 Bs in a sea of As is a person that I wouldn't want to know. Lighten up. Go smoke some weed or something.
