BAD new concerning class of 2013 acceptance rate

Have no fear, fellow wustl waitlistee! Plenty of kids have gotten into great schools that got passed up by other ones. At least, that's what I keep telling myself...

another fellow wustl waitlistee! it's not the end of the world, and it doesnt mean that brown is 100% certain to reject you because wustl did. some great schools will accept you, and some won't. i guess we just all have to figure that whatever happens...happens...and it'll all work out for the best. positive thinking, people!

It seems that WUSTL waitlisted a lot of people this year

....you have NO idea. there was lots of bitter fits of rage flying around the WUSTL forums....shudders-at-the-horrible-horrible-memories

WUSTL is known for manipulating the waitlist quite a bit. There's a lot of speculation that Ivies will be doing the same thing this year due to the financial crisis.

It's no surprised WUSTL stepped up it's normal game in a year like this one.

I got rejected from UCLA too and I feel like it's going to hit me for every other school I haven't heard from yet.

fellow wustl waitlistee here =/
o well. browns my top choice anyway

To all the WUSTL waitlistees, I got waitlisted last year and it hit me really hard (since it was the first decision released). Luckily, Brown and a few other Ivies accepted me a week later. Don't worry -- WUSTL sucks and you don't want to go there anyways.

missuspeel: HEY! I got accepted by WUSTL and it paid for my air fare, food and hotel to visit St. Louis!

@FB
Is that for one of the scholarship interviews, or just for a random campus visit?
I have a friend flying out there for the business scholarship towards the end of this month.

can we discuss Brown please?

mochabear: It's for the multicultural celebration weekend. Many people are invited! WUSTL rocks! But Brown rocks even more!

one more thing, before I get back on topic: I love how every board on here becomes a gathering place for wustl waitlistees. Have you noticed that?
^Heheee, FB- obviously!

Hey I got that from Wash U too, the flight/trip for the multicultural thing. Brown is still my top choice, no matter what. But since I've never been to Wash U, I'll have to check it out...

LOL You guys make it seem like if you're accepted by WUSTL, it is because the university thinks you will not get into any other colleges. HAHAHA. NOW I'M FREAKED OUT!

I'll join the bunch of WUSTL waitlistee's haha woo

codersarepeople, dont get into physics.. its terrible ;) lol jk

erika27, the WUSTL forums we're awesome.. it was funny to see so many angry people start bashing the school lmao

but if i get into Brown i'm going to send hate mail to WUSTL :) (im jk obviously)

i too was waitlisted at wustl :(

but i keep forgetting that i even applied there :)

well FBlalaland, so many qualified applicants form my school got waitlisted and then i know so many poopheads that got in. rumor has it they choose students who they KNOW will matriculate. brown is mhy top choice. i would have gone to WUSTL over NU but little did they know that.

f*** WUSTL they accepted my ****ty ex bf over me. FML

lol wustl is known to manipulate who they accept and who they waitlist to keep their yield and rank high... so dont feel too bad

fml fml fml D: (joining the club)
