Bad score on third satII...does it matter?

I took three sat subject tests and did really bad on one of them…I know Brown only requires that we take two, so does that mean they’ll only look at the two better ones?
help!

just don't include the third one on your application

umm... well, it was in my nov. scores and i had to send them before i found out what i got. so it's inevitable that they will see them... oh no!

What was the one you did badly on? If it's writing or math, I'd guess it'd affect your application more than if it were a more specific subject test. Wait... there's no SAT II writing anymore, is there? Hmm.

Also, do you have a comparable AP score or a good grade in the class (ie a 500 on Physics SAT II but an A in your honors physics class or 4 on the Physics AP, etc)? If so, that'll make it look not quite so bad.

It actually was math that I did badly on... Well, I've had As in math all through high school, and I'll most likely get an A (uh, or maybe B+) in Calc this year... I guess I'll just have to wait and see. 9 hours to go! :)
Thanks for replying, ILoveBrown. So you're a student there right now? What year are you? How is it??

If you have good grades in math and are taking calc this year, I wouldn't stress too much about it.

Yup, I'm a current freshman at Brown, and as my name says... I love it! I think it's a fantastic school and I'm really happy here.

what do you mean by bad? if you're one of those people who thinkslike a 680 is bad then id say its not ad and you'refine. even a 500 wouldn't kill y ou if its the 3rd sat2 and you do well in the class
