Yes, there is a limit on the seats per session. I don’t know what the limit is, but I imagine it’s about 300-350 students per session. There has to be a limit because many parents come, too. They are limited by the size of the presentation room.

So, if there’s a particular date you want, you should sign up as soon as you can.

Can you change your bama bound dates after you have already registered for a certain date? I registered for 21-22 and want to change it to an earlier time due to plans during that time.

I’m pretty sure you can. Try logging on via mybama.ua.edu and give it a whirl. There’s a tutorial for Bama Bound registration at http://orientation.ua.edu/registration/reg_instructions.pdf

I think you can…you can even try calling Orientation and see if they’ll change it for you or tell you how to do it.

You can switch by reentering the Bama Bound Registration and selecting the date you want to switch to.

Don’t know where the other sessions fall, but we were concerned that we would not be able to check in the night before for the June 1 session because the day before is a holiday.

I talked with one of the Bama Bound counselors and she assured me that they would be there on campus to move the kids in the night before the June 1 session.

Another thing I realized later that was good about the June 1 session, we won’t have to take a day off work for the travel and move in the night before, as that is an official holiday. This way, we only lose two days of work, rather than three. Day Two is supposed to end mid day, early afternoon, for those with a long drive or plane flight ahead of them.

^^^The only holidays when UA is completely closed (including food service) seem to be Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. Of course, the latter two are during winter break anyway. Glad to hear you found a session that will work for your family.
