Bard: What are my chances?

I'm a Junior. My GPA is about 3.1. I haven't gotten any SAT scores back yet. I also am an accomplished writer. (I'm a finalist in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards competition and I was published in the Claremont Review.) I want a non-traditional schools near Westchester, NY, so I'm also looking at Eugene Lang and Sarah Lawrence. How about those? Suny New Paltz and Suny Purchase? Please comment!

These are the stats for SUNY New Paltz:

“For the fall 2009 entering class the mean SAT was 1170 (CR & M) and the mean ACT score was 26.” “We look for a range of an 87-93 high school average.”

It’s a great school that sounds like it has what you’re looking for in a school - great Creative Writing/English dept. and non-traditional atmosphere.

Oh, then New Paltz sounds great, and it won’t break my parent’s budget! Thanks so much!

Your welcome. My son transferred there so if you have any questions about the school please feel free to ask me. Yup, the price is right too!

Thank you, although a close friend goes there and loves it! Believe me, my parents would love nothing better than paying for a state school. Thanks again!
