ALL YOU AMAZING GIRLS IN THE CLASS OF 2012! New York City, Here We Come!

lol! I know, I am so excited too!!! Who here is staying for the overnight? I know I am! And I can't wait to meet everybody! :)

I'm doing the overnight thing too! I cannot wait.

Does anyone know when we get our barnard.columbia email addresses? I'm so excited!!!

My d is hosting a student for the overnight! She is pretty excited about it.

I think you get your e-mail later this summer, maybe in July?

Yay for getting into Barnard!

oh, that'd be cool if i met your daughter, churchmusicmom! lol.

It would indeed!

Just an FYI for all you attending the weekend: look out for an opportunity to see a group doing a dance piece...it's a really fun sort of "hip hop" piece that they just performed as a part of the student dance group, Orchesis. They were asked to do it again for admitted student's weekend (we are assuming Barnard and Columbia). She loves doing that piece and, I must say, it is a whole lot of fun to watch. Look for a tall, slender girl with long curly red hair having a great deal of fun shaking her, well, booty....with the best of them! :)

what a great idea for open house! we do that sometimes at my private school - but it's more theater improv sneak-peaks.

I'm surprised the Barnard forum isn't that big, we haven't gotten many posts! Who else is Barnard 2012?

omg katescully....i know someone who has a friend with that name. could it be you?

haha, Kate, I just friended you on the fb group today

haha i don't know could it be? i'm from washington dc/northern virginia?
I probably shouldn't have used katescully, huh.. oh well, I was at an internship in Africa when I made the login so my internet time was limited. too limited for creativity!

hahaha that's funny. I used to be obssesed with CC.

I'm also going to the open house and the overnight. I'm actually taking a gap year, so I'll see you gals there, but not again till the fall of 2009. Still, it's very exciting! :)

I'm going. :) I actually won't be living on-campus but I'm staying for the overnight just to meet other students and because I'm too lazy to commute for the Monday portion (I still live a good solid distance from Barnard).

CLASS OF 2012 - we'll be the best year in Barnard's history, count on it!

I am considering Barnard for one of my choices.

I don't live close to Barnard so I don't know if I will be able to attend the open house. Is 1st year res mandatory?

No, it's not. I think the breakdown is that 90% live on-campus and 10% off-campus. I think the freshman statistics might be tilted even more toward the on-campus side.

So, it's completely your choice. :)
