There are three dates offered this year: April 8-9, April 12, and April 22-23. They are also holding three “Admitted Students Receptions” in Boston, LA, and the Bay Area. Additional information and the registration form can be found on the application portal. Congratulations!
Thanks for the info, @TheThalamus! Hard decisions ahead, and the visit will really help.
@moxi99 Thanks so much! Congratulations, that’s so amazing and I’m so happy for you (even though I don’t know you at all haha)!! <3 Barnard’s also been my dream school since I visited junior year, and I also was deferred ED! I didn’t get in, but I am definitely going to be applying as a transfer student until I do I just know it’s the place for me and I can’t let go of that! Would you mind sending me a copy of the letter you wrote after being deferred? (My email is meenat191@gmail.com) I am just curious to kind of see what the process was like for someone else who was in my position, you know? Thank you so much!
@AcademiaSavvy did you end up getting in? I’ve seen so many of your posts, and never any results. Hopefully you did!
@oedemuasel Let’s just say my heart is broken and I’m contacting my regional admissions counselor on Monday
@AcademiaSavvy Oh no! I’m so sorry.
@AcademiaSavvy same here-- tell me how it goes
hey guys, do you know where to find the FA package?? I got in but without FA idk how to take the acceptance…
If you go on the website, then click under the Financial Aid section, on the right there is a link for the financial aid portal. In that section, under the menu you can view your aid.
Accepted!!
@divarose all I see under the menu is “home” and “messages and documents” and when I click “messages and docs”, there is no information there except for the documents I submitted. No mention of aid year or anything.
Hay everyone. I had applied ED and got deferred and was really sad about that because this was my dream school. I submitted my deferred letter and mid year transcript and then a week later got the message of aware of decision making and got accepted. I’m so excited to start!!!
@jellyjam123 - If you aren’t seeing your financial aid offer in your portal yet, you might just send an email to the financial aid department to ask. They may still be working on the aid packages for some students - and if they are still working on yours will probably be at least able tell you when you can expect to be able to see it.
hey, if I submitted some documents late (tax returns and w2s, but fafsa and css were on time), and my portal reflects that they were received but I haven’t yet received an aid letter, does this mean that I am still going to get aid? I was admitted but it is impossible for me to go without aid. anyone else in the same situation? I know that you had to apply for aid at the time of your application and I did, but I’m worried things will be messed up because I was late.
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has heard back from Barnard’s HEOP program?
@belim99 How late did you send in the documents? My D sent hers in late too (mid-February), and her award was ready, but it is very possible they have to finish yours still. I’m sure they are crazy busy right now.
How do I decide weather or not Barnard is the school for me?
@RachealBo Will you be able to visit? If not, then research the majors and make sure there are multiple options for you. Look at videos on youtube… there are so many that students have made that show a closer look at their lives. Read all the review comments you can at niche and similar sites. You have to take some of them with a grain of salt, but you’ll learn what generally students love and don’t love. If you do that for the colleges on your list, you’ll have a good comparison. Specific to Barnard, you need to be comfortable in a city, with lots of people around, and on a smaller campus.
Hey guys I was wondering if you knew if I could appeal my admissions decision at Barnard? I couldn’t seem to find anything online.
@AcademiaSavvy Barnard admission decisions are final. The only exception would possibly be if your school submitted incorrect documents or information. Otherwise, focus your energies on another college. You can always apply to transfer in the future.
