Bay Area Transfers

I went to CSM and Skyline for a year. I honestly can say Skyline prepared me a lot more for Berkeley compared to CSM.

Yeah a Bgame person!!!

And for the hell of it, love the Cal interest here. Go Bears!!!

From Cupertino, applying to:

UCB/UCLA/UCD/SCU/USC and a few east coast schools.
Major: EEP/Econ/Bus Econ and various majors for the east coast schools.

Whoah this is crazy! I live in Burlingame lol. I also go to CSM. I took 6 classes this semester and received 5 A’s and 1 B…I’m appealing. Good to see there are some fellow people from Bgame.

Iildimsum7: What classes did you take at CSM? I took 3 Psych, 1 phil, 1 bio, and 1 sociology.

Cal is my top choice and I’m a Phil major.

Well if you get into Cal, make sure to hit me up. I probably went to high school with you, unless you went to a private.

I remember taking an AAS class at CSM where literally, we had only a final and 2 papers. The final was also crazy easy. However the hardest class I took was bio 100. But that was because the prof was horrible. I’m surprised I even got an A. I never went to class like half of the class.

I went to Burlingame High, but stopped after my junior year and went to CSM instead. At first I did the Middle College program, but I didn’t really like that eaither, so I went out and got my GED and now I’m exclusively a student at CSM.

Yeah man, if I end up going to Berkeley, I’ll definitely hit you up.

From SJ, going to De Anza…UCB/UCLA/UCSD/UCI/UCD/SCU/USC. Econ/Biz Econ/Biz major…

f-uckkk hella econ majors hahahaha and ive seen hella phil majors on this forum too

@CalBearGuy: I was really lazy in general this semester which is why I didn’t work too much on my personal statements. So many distractions with internet, 360, etc. I also ran everyday so I was always tired in the evening.
@emilsinclair9: i took bio100, actg131, world geography (i think), and some business class

Nice, I took Bio 130, but that’s the only class in the same department. Are we taking any of the same classes next semester?

I’m in:

Psych 105 (Clifford)
Psych 110 (Toomer)
Calc 241 (Hom)
Chem 192 (I forget)
Speech 100 (I forget)

I go to CSM too =] I took Bio 130 this past semester…
Applied to: UC Davis and UC San Diego: Human Development

De Anza student here with hoop dreams. Aiming at Haas/UCLA. So far so good, please suck so I have less competition. :)

Berkeley City College/City College SF student here.

in addition to uc’s, i’m applying to usc, nyu, and syracuse. doesn’t seem like many cali residents are interested in transferring to an east coast school

^ It’s cold and it snows lol. Those are my main reasons for not going to the east coast as I’m sure many of us could get into Cornell or other east coast schools. Also I feel their is a different mentality on the east coast compared to the west coast on how people act, but maybe it’s just me.

good deterrents. different mentality can be a refreshing, good thing :)

@thatketchup did you take Bio 130 with Prof. Lucero? That was the teacher I had…so easy. Anyways, what are you taking next semester and what’s your top choice?

I applied to Davis Psych and UCSD Human Development as well. I also applied to UCLA Psych and Cal Philosophy lol.

I would apply to Cornell except I don’t understand their transfer requirements. NYU requires SAT scores I believe, which I am too lazy to retake (I got a 2000 in high school).

live in SJ, attending West Valley College.

applied to UCLA,UCB,UCSD,UCD as econ (so many econ majors on here, omg)

I sooo wanted to go to the east coast out of hs, but now I’m not sure I want to leave CA right now or go into insane debt. I think I’m still going to apply to NYU and Columbia for the heck of it though.

Diablo Valley College - hey ollieshuvitz! Maybe I’ve seen you around campus. :)

I will be applying to UCB (first choice), UCD, UCSD, as a bioengineering major next year. I may also apply to Stanford and some other privates, depending on whether I maintain my GPA. I’m kinda upset that the UCs don’t look at high school grades and SAT scores; I worked hard for those. Oh well, I guess it helps some people.

has anybody had any luck crashing classes at ccsf? I hate my schedule at bcc, I was planning on doing a phil prereq at ucb via concurrent enrollment but that’s not possible now, and ccsf offers one of the classes. I emailed the prof (no reply). ccsf and bcc don’t have online waitlists like my old ccc did, so I’m confused about how enrollment works.
