lol, damn a lot of ppl are doing philo now. SHEEEEEEEEET

^ i know right? and econ too

econ rocks ;)

This thread scares me. I’m also an econ major in the Bay Area with UCSD as my #1 choice. My GPA is in the 3.2-3.4 range b/c of my lack of drive during my first year. >< Should I be worried, hah? I’m taking the TAG route. Well, wish me luck.

hey snooks! whats up, yo? I’m also at bcc…what are you taking spring? maybe we have some of the same classes…

man you econ and philosophy majors are great…just stay away from Comp Lit! I don’t need to cluttering up my applicant pool!

@frosty110, if u have TAG with UCSD then why worry? transfer admission GAURANTEE

In SJ @ SJCC

Econ major applying to UCB, UCD, UCSC, SJSU(safety net), and Merced

I want to stay in Northern California.

EECS/computer engineering/electrical engineering/whatever they want to call it is what I’m in.

This year: UCSD, UC Davis
Next year: UC Berkeley, UCLA, Stanford, UC Irvine

(here’s to hoping I pull my physics grades up)… I can’t seem to get myself out of Connor’s physics class for this semester, so that may not happen :(

Hey Calbearguy, did you ever end up getting that grade from that professor (page 1) lol? And I know what you mean, the wait for these admissions desicions is killing me! I’m anxious and I’m always thinking about it lol. Cal is so right for me. I can’t wait until April 30th, my friend!

@emilsinclair yeah i did, 10 A’s whooo

NorCaL girl here…

UCLA - English

@ CalBearGuy: Did you seriously take 10 classes?! How many units was that like 30 or more? Were they all UC-transferrable? I took 18 units with 6 A’s and I thought that was solid lol.

So when does everyone start their spring semesters?

CCSF/Skyline are both starting for me on Tuesday the 19th. uh

Next week, the 21st at Laney. I wake up at like 12 these days, not good!

I know someone will find this article interesting as I did:

[UC San Diego Receives Record Number of Freshman and Transfer Applications](<a href=“UC San Diego Today”>UC San Diego Today)

Key points: Economics was one of several popular majors chosen (I hope getting into my desired classes wont be too much of an issue). More girls then guys at UCSD by a difference of 3-4%! And the obvious, record number of apps as stated in the title, hah.

feb 1st 10char

@CantabilenApathy… i know this is a late reply to your post but I’m curious to why your chances are better being involved in the Berkeley community as apposed to being in Sac…don’t get me wrong I really don’t care for Sac as a city so I stayed in Davis but a few years back I went to SCC and I had some amazing professors there…a couple of them rivaled my Berkeley professors. One of them wrote me a fantastic LOR for law school…I’m not sure which CCC you went to in Sac but quite a few of my classmates over the past couple of years transferred from SCC.

I’m not knocking your decision to move since the bay area has a lot more resources as far as employment, entertainment, etc. I was just curious… good luck w/ your admissions cycle :o)
