Scheduled our S both times online for his SAT. Did it the same both times, using his SS # for his ID. Anyway, we discovered schools weren't getting all his SAT scores. And, as he did better with Math on one, and Critical on the other, it was very important they have both scores. After checking with SAT to see why they both hadn't been sent, we discovered they had both been sent. However, one had been sent under his SS # and the other under a SAT ID #. They couldn't explain how this happened, other than it does ... occasionally. It was a major pain in the butt, calling everyone from his high school, who didn't realize both JL's were the same JL's, to calling every school he'd applied to as well, and then following up to make sure they'd really done what they said they'd do in combining the files. One school, bless their hearts, figured it out on their own.

Make sure your kids know their SS#'s, when they're filling out stuff at school, which you never see ... i.e. their PSAT registrations and such. There needs to be continuity between all tests ... on ID numbers being used, whether it's a test ID, a school ID, or a SS #. Fixing this later is a major pain in the butt.
