Beaty Towers?

I'm a Gator hopeful for Fall 2012, and was looking at dorms. At first, I was leaning on living off-campus, but now I'm considering living on campus for the first year, for the experience, and to meet new friends. I really don't like the idea of sharing a bathroom with 40 other people, or walking across the hall to the bathroom every morning. So Beaty sounds really good to me, and I already have tentative roommates (my twin sister and me in one room, and two friends in the other). However, I can't really find any info on any of the dorms online? How is Beaty for freshmen? Can you meet a lot of people? Is it far from classes/ other important places (whatever they might be)? How are the bathrooms and bedrooms, and I heard that there was a cockroach problem recently? Lol idk, tell me whatever you knowww.

Oh, and is Hume better than Beaty? Hopefully i get into the Honors program.

Definitely live on campus your first year, you’ll meet a lot of people very quickly. Go in the summer if you can as well. The location isn’t particularly ideal, but freshman classes are pretty scattered so it’d be random what location would be good anyway. But there’s the bus system, and almost nothing on campus is too far to walk. And assuming your a girl, beaty is really close to sorority row if you planned on rushing.

But as far as being inside it, I couldn’t tell you since I don’t live there.
