Who cares.

Beijing Cheatalympics 2008!

Anybody else find it funny that China has been dominating in judged-sports?

Men's sync. diving: Australia nails their jumps.. Chinese flop. China wins in the judge scores.

what do u mean by "judged-sports"?

I've noticed a lot of the judges are actually favoring against chinese... different people have different opinions.

Seriously i don't know why there's these people who don't know anything who hate china so much and think that china cheats and counterfeits everything.

^ What sports did you watch? Many US diving and gymnastics teams have gotten a much lower score than anticipated, while the Chinese teams are getting more breathing room than the competition.

I'm not an expert, but one has to wonder where all those deductions (esp. in the women's gymnastics) are coming from.

China has been dominating sych diving for years, it's not just now.

Did you see that 7th gold medal by michael phelps. That was amazing plus a bit of luck!

^ Yea lol. 7th gold medal this Olympics for Phelps, and by only 1/100th of a second.

Did anybody watch the Wrestling match of the Swedish "Ara Abrahamian?"
AKA the guy who threw the Bronze away on the podium because the judges were supposedly..bribed, unfair.

okay this is random but go team china! lol.

anyway,,, i HATE it when chinese people compete for other teams or coach other teams....i can't stand it one bit. i wonder how many times i've cursed at US women indoor volleyball team's coach.

It's not a surprise that the chinese won in diving. They always have.

As for gymnastics, my dad was very surprised when the chinese girl got such low marks, when clearly, she did MUCH better than the US one. This didn't just happen to the Chinese. The russian also preformed well for some of her routines, while the US had nothing surprising. However, the US always trumped the others.

traitors?

They are getting paid to do a job. What's wrong with that? Their native country can only hire so many coaches.

This happens all the time with other countries with other sports. Nobody seems to be blowing caskets over it.

If that's what you honestly believe, I think you may have some problems.........

in response to the person jrcho's respponding to, well they don't think of themselves as chinese. Also, if they can earn money, ofcourse they'd do it.

and who cares who wins... It's an event to bring countries together and put away their differences. Also china has many coaches from other countries too.

That's what happens when you kick too much ass in one sport. See Brazil and soccer. Spain never would've won Euro 2008 without the Brazilian Marcos Senna.

It's not fair that China gets to field underage gymnasts, but I consider it karma for American gymnastics because Paul Hamm unfairly won the all-around gold in 2004 for a mathematical error. Hopefully, the IOC cracks down on China in the future.

ummm first i disagree. How is it not fair? Is the olympics not a place where the best of athletes gather to compete? Why do you have to be a certain age? If your good enough, you should qualify.

Also, can you prove that those gymnasts were underaged? If not, don't say something that is hurtful to a whole country. If anything, the US were just eating sour grapes.

Normally, being underage in a sport is not good. However, in gymnastics, lighter is better, and I think younger girls have a better weight-strength ratio.

@username, there have been multiple articles dug up by the AP that show two of the athletes listed as 13 and 14 just earlier this year. The articles were only changed when the two made the olympic team. Whether or not the rule should exist is another question, but at least two of the athletes were underage.
