Being rescinded.

Sorry if this question has been asked before, but I'm pretty concerned. Here's the scenario:

-Already accepted.
-Many extra-curricular positions, i.e. President, secretary, etc. In 6+ clubs.
-24 on ACT.
-Never got anything below a C in a class in high school.
-4.27 GPA, 3.9 weighted.

I'm in integrated math 3, and I have a D+. It's my first D ever in high school, and I know FSU says that a "downward trend" can get you rescinded. I know my D right now is no problem, but I also have AP government next semester. Say I get a D in that class, what're my chances of being rescinded? What do colleges consider a "downward trend?" One D per semester in advanced classes hardly seems to be a "lacking" state.

Any help is appreciated.

My advice is to get tutoring or switch to an easier class so you don't end up with any Ds. That would be better than taking the risk that FSU would rescind you, something that it would be entitled to do if you do get Ds.

They also said that if you switch any core classes you may get recinded. Would switching from AP gov. to Gov. honors fall under that category?

No. I think that's mostly to prevent kids from dropping their core math and science classes.

Ask the college. I'm guessing that switching from AP to honors won't cause a problem.

Hm, so you think if I went from AP to honors they wouldn't see that as "dropping a core class" or anything bad?

Don't mean to be rude, but you HAVE to ask the college.

Okay, relax.
