I just got an e-mail from the Berkeley Alumni Scholarship peeps about the Overnight Stay Program (OSP) and it said:

"Participation in OSP is contingent on your acceptance to UC Berkeley. If accepted, you will receive an email from us during the first week of April with instructions on how to register.

You can participate in one of three sessions:

I. April 12-13, 2009

II. April 19-20, 2009

III. April 26-27, 2009"

They say the program fills up rather quickly, and I won't be notified of admission until late April, so...?

Oh hell no. Three threads on the same thing-- mine will be read first and replied to and become the dominant thread on this issue!

I will not let my thread fall into the abyss of repeat threads!

Hahahahaha. Well now it has become the dominant thread thanks to you. :P

did people only get that e-mail if they applied for the scholarship?

I dunno, but I'm sure is has nothing to do with who is being accepted.

Yeah only those who applied got the e-mail. Well OCCTransfer, that's where my confusion is. It says:

"Participation in OSP is contingent on your acceptance to UC Berkeley. If accepted, you will receive an email from us during the first week of April with instructions on how to register."

The first week of April is NOT the last week of April when we're supposed to know our decisions. And even if it were contingent on being offered admission on April 30th, the program would end by then... you get what I mean?

From a stranger's point of view (me), I would say that if you are accepted to Berkeley, they would send you information about how to register during the first week of April. "If accepted, you will receive an email from us during the first week of April with instructions on how to register."

to those who received it, are you guys planning on attending, if yes, which session? i dont want to go if im denied because that wouldnt be koo at all. lol

im thinking the latest one, but i dont know. id like everyones input on this.

I guess it'd be cool to see the school, but the drive is far and the flight is expensive. We'll see. Personally, I'd like to know if I got in before I visit.
