<p>i do have a question that’s a bit off topic but if you guys could help it would help:
If i try to do only a Masters (not PhD) … in lets say Finance
or get an MBA in Business Economics, how high of math would i need to go ?</p>
<p>for only masters do i still need that multi vari calc and linear algebra? =D</p>
<p>im only okay at math and would rather avoid it if i have the choice haha</p>
<p>exactly, that is my question:
sorry russian girl its just that our questions are so similar</p>
<p>so. in order to switch over from the college of cnr to the college of letters and science, what do we need to do? </p>
<p>i was reading on this website:
Have completed at least one semester of coursework at UC Berkeley
Have completed fewer than 90 units at the end of your last term before admission to the
College
Are able to complete your degree within the College’s unit limit
Have completed Entry Level Writing and the first half of the Reading and Composition
requirement (by the end of your freshman year)
Have also completed the second half of the Reading and Composition requirement (by the
end of your sophomore year)
Are eligible to declare a major (if you have completed 60 units or more)
Please note: Grade Point Average is also a significant consideration for admission to
the College. Students who meet all other criteria and have a 3.0 or higher GPA are
more likely to be approved. </p>
<p>for transfers, we need to declare our major the first semester, so i have no change of transferring to the college of letters and science?</p>
<p>KrisL, you have probably seen this website, but still: [Mark</a> Borgschulte - PhD Preparation Classes](<a href=“http://markborgschulte.googlepages.com/berkeleyclassesirecommend]Mark”>Mark Borgschulte, University of Illinois - berkeleyclassesirecommend), but I think it is for PhDs.
I just now realized what i got myself into lol
truucharms, I am sorry, it is 2 am and I can’t seem to come up with answer to your question right now…
Oh, and I meant that transfers need a B- minimum in UC Berkeley prerequisites (for me, it is the upper-level statistics and Intermediate Economic Theory).</p>
<p>If you have the B- average for the pre reqs are you most likely in the economics major, or does the econ department review your application and determine if you’re a “well rounded student”, again for a second time, fit for the econ department? That is what I am wondering. Or is it that you just need to meet the minimum requirements?</p>
<p>my question is: do we have to submit another essay explaining why we want to be accepted to the economics major? or is it just the g.p.a? when you guys say a well rounded student, what exactly do you mean?</p>
