I have been asked to tutor someone studying for the ACTs. The thing is, I took the SAT and am not familiar at all with the ACTs. Will someone please tell me what the best ACT prep. books are? Please list pros and cons. I can look for the price myself. Thank you very much!

Personally, I like my 2006 "Cracking the ACT" by the princeton review the best....and that was after hearing everyone on here talk about it so much...

I also have the Kaplan and Barron books, ive skimmed them but truth be told i havent really read through them becuase ive been focused on the cracking the act book...

Ill just go ahead and tell ya...these books will run ya about 20 bucks each and you can find them on amazon.com...or waldenbooks or whatever...just about every bookstore has them...

I liked PR books for my SAT prep, so no surprise there. Does it have more teaching or more practice problems (approximately, of course)?
