My favorite has got to be Michigan-Ohio State

Michigan vs OSU is pretty special. But there are many other good rivalries. Auburn vs Alabama, Oklahoma vs Texas, USC vs Notre Dame, Michigan vs Notre Dame among many others.

The Duke/UNC rivalry is fairly unique in that both institutions are in the same state. In fact, they’re less than 20 minutes apart.

People in the state either passionately love or venomously hate each school – there is absolutely no in-between, and everyone has an opinion.

Army/Navy is pretty big too.

UAA vs UAF is obviously big up here, but I don’t think anything can beat BC vs BU.

Stanford vs Berkeley

UCLA vs USC

Harvard vs Yale

For football, Forbes ranked the price of tickets as follows:

USC-Notre Dame

UGA (all home games!)

UCLA-USC

Alabama-Auburn

Florida-LSU

Oklahoma-Nebraska

USC-Ohio State

Texas-Oklahoma

Florida-Georgia

Ohio State-Michigan

MIT-CalTech for the geeks among us…

Having lived all around the country I have to say Auburn Alabama is the best. Michigan also compete with Mich State so for “that state up North” the OSU game is not as big a deal. OU UT is big but OU also play OSU and UT plays A&M and Tech. When I lived in AL my roommate and I were asked if we were for Auburn or AL regularly.

South Carolina-Clemson is pretty interesting… Clemson was founded because the founder thought that South Carolina was only for “elites” and didn’t want to educated the farmers.

I’m partial to Michigan Ohio State. NC Duke is up there too. Also Harvard Yale.

Cal-Stanford is huge in CA and goes way back

this is ridiculous.

USC vs. UCLA

BU versus BC

Amherst-Williams

Stanford-California

Harvard-Yale

Amherst vs. Williams is so cute. Haha.

But seriously people, the real best rivalry is UCLA vs. USC. No question.

UNC Duke no question

I think Bowdoin vs Bates vs Colby is also very intense as all three are NESCAC

It is there in Wikipedia also
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colby-Bates-Bowdoin

It’s a shame people dont realize how intense the BU/BC rivalry is. Simply because college football is much, much more popular than college hockey. Many people of note have stated that the rivalry is up there with Duke/UNC, Mich/tOSU, etc.

They’re making a movie about the rivalry for a reason: [Rival Films :: Sports Movies | Documentaries | Stock Footage](http://www.rivalfilms.net/)

unc / duke

TOSU vs. Michigan with authority!!! :)

Most buckeye fans would refrain (more like forbidden due to enormous distaste) themselves from the use of the word - “Michigan” in everyday life. Now that’s an intense rivalry!!
