[College Hockey News: Top 10 Rivalries](<a href=“The Latest College Hockey News : College Hockey News”>Top 10 Rivalries : College Hockey News)

UMaine’s rivalries with UNH/BU/BC are epic. Too bad Brown’s hockey team isn’t that good :/

Chief dull knife college in Lame deer, montana Vs. not going to college

SSU and Chico State are apparently rivals, but that just started in the last couple of years. It wasn’t like that my freshman year. All of a sudden we hate each other’s guts.

USC vs. UCLA
Stanford vs. Berkeley
Washington vs. Washington St.
Oregon vs. Oregon St.
Arizona vs. Arizona St.
Michigan vs. Ohio St.
Michigan vs. Michigan St.
Duke vs. UNC @ Chapel Hill
Army vs. Navy
Alabama vs. Auburn
Oklahoma vs. Texas
USC vs. Notre Dame
Clemson vs. South Carolina
Boston University vs. Boston College

WVU V. Pitt has a good rivalry called the Backyard Brawl.

Pitt use to have a good rivalry with Penn State.

alaska tech vs. alaska state

Georgia Tech vs. University of Georgia
Virginia Tech vs. University of Virginia
Purdue vs. Indiana University
University of Maryland–College Park vs. West Virginia University

Bowdoin Colby Bates

I think Michigan vs. Ohio State was rated the best football rivalry on some ESPN show a while back.

^
I think that rivalry existed years back, when UMich football was similar to Ohio State University. Maybe Michigan State University and Ohio State University are bigger rivalies now.

Big Rivalries not mentioned:

Indiana vs. Kentucky (basketball only)
Michgan vs. Notre Dame
Notre Dame vs. USC
Florida State vs. Miami (FL)
Florida vs. Florida State
Florida vs. Georgia (world’s largest cocktail party)
Houston vs. Rice
Cincinnati vs. Xavier (basketball only- called the Crosstown Shootout)
Kansas vs. Missouri
Texas A&M vs. Texas Tech

And some older ones:
Oklahoma vs. Nebraska (Big Eight)
Arkansas vs. Texas (Southwest Conference)

And Coolbreezze, Michgan vs. Ohio State always will be the best football rivalry in the nation. Michigan has had only a few down years, it was only 4 years ago when they faced each other as #1 vs. #2 in one of the most anticipated games of the decade.

CIT vs MassTech

Wisconsin vs. Ohio State is pretty big too. I remember sitting in my room studying during the game (because tickets were $300!) and I knew when we won because I could hear the cheers coming from the stadium…I lived about a half-mile away from Camp Randall. That was a great night for sure :)

I think Michigan/Ohio State and Alabama/Auburn are the easily the best two. The atmosphere is completely electric at the Iron Bowl, and that game literally divides the state (you can’t be neutral.) Alabama’s other two big football rivalries are against LSU and Tennessee.

My top 3 rivalries (in no particular order):

UNC/Duke
Michigan/Ohio State
Army/Navy

Hard to find any that come close to these three, although Army/Navy has been on the decline lately.

@coolbreeze- just because Michigan has sucked the last few years doesn’t mean the rivalry is dead. This has been going on for over 60 years or something ridiculous like that. One terrible program (even three years running) isn’t going to topple something as epic as the Mich/OSU rivalry.

@romanigypsyeyes - coolbreeze is bitter because he didn’t get into Michigan, which was his top choice. I don’t think anyone would doubt the intensity of the rivalry.

tOSU V Michigan and Auburn V. Alabama are the most heated…no contest.
