I'm looking to apply to an Undergraduate English - Creative Writing program within NYC. I couldn't afford NYU if my life depended on it, so I'm checkin' out some CUNY's.

Between these three, I'm trying to make a choice...

-CUNY Brooklyn College

-CUNY Hunter College

-CUNY City College

I'll explain a bit about my feelings concerning each school too.

Brooklyn - Beautiful campus, great reputation for writing, and I even have connections into their department. But it's in kind of a muggy area of Brooklyn and I prefer the liveliness of Manhattan.

Hunter College - I'm going to need housing, and I'm worried Hunter won't help me there if I don't make a decision early on. I also know that they're a rather large campus, and I'd like to be able to at least speak to my professors.

City College - I honestly love love love this school. It's gorgeous, the surrounding area is pretty, it's in Manhattan but it's not too close to Midtown. My only problem - I'm a skinny white kid and I don't want to get too caught up in things while living in Harlem. Opinions?

If you can give me further info on each school, I'd be grateful. But most of all, just PLEASE tell me which one has the strongest Undergraduate English/Writing?

Thanks!
