what's the best cuny for something science-y? which school have better med school acceptance rates?

The best CUNYs are probably Baruch and Hunter.

baruch yeaaahh

Baruch is reputable because kids flood there for business.

Hunter is generally accepted as the best one for some reason. Probably because of its Upper East Side location.

Queens is delightful. Went there for summer camp in the golden days of my childhood. The campus has a very special place in my heart. IMO, a great place to go to college for commuter students.

Actually Brooklyn has a Coordinated B.A.-M.D. Program, as does City College -

[Brooklyn College | Coordinated B.A.-M.D. Program](http://www.brooklyn.cuny.edu/pub/ba_md.htm)

[Dual Degree Programs - The City University of New York](http://web.cuny.edu/academics/academic-programs/programs-of-note/dual-degree.html)

Hunter is usually named as the best one, followed by Baruch and Lehman. City College, Queens College, and Brooklyn College are also great outposts in the CUNY system.

which one has the highest medical school acceptance rates?

If you want to be premed, the best one is the Sophie Davis program at City College.

I think for people who intend to goto med school/grad school, the CUNY schools provide a great path, because there isn’t a lot of competition, classes are generally easy, and with some financial aid, it costs next to nothing, if you stand out you have just as good of a shot at getting into top grad schools as people out of ivy caliber schools.

However, if you want to get a job after college, unless you majored in business at Baruch, or major in something hard/practical like Engineering, you will be screwed. I took an econ class at ccny that reminded me of junior high school, plus an abusive professor.
