So, I'll probably go to Lawreceville next year, and I'm having a bit of trouble deciding which dorm I want to be in. Could someone tell me about the dorms, like what they're like, and all the stereotypes about them? Thanks!

you can’t pick unless you wish to honor your legacy, so its kind of pointless to want one over the other.

also, i already started a thread like this earlier…

My son just got into Lawrenceville, and he’s really excited about going. One of the newly admitted kids just formed this group on Facebook, but it only has a few members so far, so I’m talking it up. Maybe you can all ask each other questions about dorms and stuff there as well.

theres no stereotypes for freshman dorms…

Okay I didn’t exactly mean stereotypes but what are some generally known things about the houses? Like living conditions, size of the dorm and number of people, etc.thanks!!!

Most freshman girls have singles. in the house i visited, there is a raffle on the first day for who gets the 2 doubles. my hostesses room was pretty small, but had a window w a pretty view.

Are all the houses quite similar? If not, what are the differences?

What about the Crescent houses?

Yeah, I was kind wondering about that as well!

Hi I attend Lawrenceville and absolutely love the school.

There is only one dorm option for freshmen… Boys lower and Girls lower. All the rooms are about the same size and almost all of them are singles.

Sophomore - Junior boys have 6 circle houses
Sophomore - Junior girls have 4 (5 starting next year) crescent houses

bumpbumpbumpbump.

I am wondering as well which one to choose. I am going in as a tenth grade girl(:

Yay me too
Do we get to choose or are we randomly placed?
If we can choose I wouldn’t know which one to pick XD

I think that you can choose but you don’t have to. Most people who chose it’s because they are a legacy, but any one can chose.

For the most part, the school only honors legacy.
From there it is random. Freshmen moving up to sophomore year get to designate one person they would like to be with. But other than that, it is the luck of the draw. But don’t worry. There aren’t really any bad houses.
