Best residences & international transfer selectivity?

Hey everyone!
I’m a USA student looking to transfer to U of T in the spring of 2017 as a junior year transfer. I know it’s a bit early but I’m trying to plan early as I made a really huge mistake in the past by rushing into transferring to a college without doing my research.
I’ve currently been in college for 3 semesters, studying pre-med track. I spent my first 2 semesters at a local community college in NJ, then transferred to a liberal arts school in California for my third semester + one winter class. Needless to say, the college I transferred to sucked, and living on my own across the country with no friends or support definitely took a huge toll on me, so I’m taking the spring semester off and finishing my 4th semester/associate’s at the same community college in the fall.
My transcript is great up until the fall semester at my transfer institution-- I messed up that semester pretty bad due to all my difficulties, but redeemed myself in my winter course and I’m hoping to redeem myself in the fall as well.
I’m looking to transfer to U of T St. George in the spring of 2017, as a business major as I’ve since switched to pre-law. I wanted to know how selective is the college in regards to international transfers?
Also, I wanted to know which college has the best residence. I guess you could say that I’m kind of picky when it comes to residence, I tried to live in a double room with shared bathrooms/kitchens when I studied in California and it did not work out well for me. I definitely need a single room with my own washroom. I really liked Woodsworth college (having 3 other roommates might help me to make some friends on campus which I’m definitely looking for even though I have a lot of friends in the city, and the private room is great) and also Chestnut residence seemed to really fit my needs as well. I don’t mind how far away the residence is because I have a car and pretty good knowledge of TTC.
Do you guys have any other suggestions as to which college residence to choose?

also-- by “pretty bad” I mean 3 C’s and 1 B.

U of T’s business school (Rotman) doesn’t accept transfers.
