Better chances applying early action or regular decision?

Some schools have higher acceptance rates for applying early, is that the same for Georgia? I just want to know which would give me the best chance of getting in.

I'll be applying as a first year student, I have a 3.8 weighted GPA (my school doesn't unweight) and a 31 ACT.

I don’t see a downside to applying early. There are no essays, and if you get denied, it is highly likely you were going to be denied anyway in the spring. If you get deferred, there’s nothing lost, and if you get in, you have avoided filling out the longer application and doing the essays. Maybe an exception is if you have fantastic ECs and a phenomenal fall semester that you think will move you from denied to accepted, but given the strength of this year’s freshman class, that is a pretty far jump to make.
