My son was accepted last year (currently attending) - he applied EA and didn’t hear back until January…
last year they some people got it on the same week but on different days I think it depends on the school
Got in OOS, Harpur College of Arts and Sciences!
My Stats:
GPA: 91UW, 96W
*My school does GPA based off the 100 point system. I would say out of 4.0, it’s a 3.64 uw and a 3.84W.
SAT: 1340 one sitting, 1350 superscore
6 APs throughout high school, if that helps.
Also I demonstrated a LOT of interest, to the point where my regional rep recognized me on sight.
I.e. I toured campus, attended my school info session when they came to visit, visited Binghamton booth at 2 different college fairs.
I have to believe that the snowfall affected the number of acceptances sent out, they are probably backed up 1-2 days. UNLESS, the pool of applicants this year is stronger than years past and therefore what we think is in the acceptance range is actually now below the class of 2024 acceptances range. Hopefully its just a product of the snow and not the latter that is influencing the staggered selection notifications.
Hopefully more Harpur and in-state decisions start coming out.
Have a great day everyone!

FYI, my daughter applied EA in October two years ago, to SOM, and she didn’t get her acceptance email until January 9th (she’s currently a sophomore at Bing in SOM).
Hi guys I’m new this to this chat
My stats:
GPA: 97.7
SAT: 1420 (710 Math, 710 English)
I’ve taken 6 Ap classes
Part of 6 extra curricular activities
and I’m the captain of the fencing team and leader of the National Honor Society
I’ve submitted for early action to the school of management on Nov 1st. Still waiting for a decision. Does anyone know when the next wave of acceptances will be sent?
@glazedonut supposedly tonight at 7:15
@do2020 well its 7:15, hoping for the best
@glazedonut hmm looks like no update for me yet
@do2020 same here will it be later today???
Probably not
Just got into Harpur! OOS
Congratulations! Did anyone else hear back tonight?
I guess not today for me
When is accepted student day?
@silverpurple it is saturday, april 18 and sunday, april 26
DS accepted into Harpur for Mathematical Sciences on Wednesday night! OOS, great stats & scores, good ECs, many APs and Honors. DD is currently a freshman in Harpur, but I doubt that was influential. He’s very excited and hopefully Bing will land at the top of his list. Oddly - he never got an email to check his portal. He just does every Tuesday & Thursday!
@SpaceshipDad mentioned something about higher level of the overall pool this year. DD confirmed that with the Nobel Prize winner this year and significant research being presented in the STEM areas, the competition for some NY STEM grant is crazy between the SUNYs, and significant at Binghamton. Traditionally they notify high OOS kids long before in-state kids but this year it seems to be flip-flopped. Supposedly Bing is big this cycle on woo’ing those crazy-high stat STEM in-staters to grab them instead of them having Bing as their safety (the amount of boasting “I got into Cornell/NYU/etc but chose Bing because its financially smarter, even though it was ‘just’ my safety” is giant around there!) Now - take that with a grain of salt since its coming from a student but she’s very close with her LC advisor and she’s saying this has been the talk around campus for the last month.
where does it say if youre accepted or not in the status checker? would where it says “being considered” change to accepted or rejected?
Just heard back today, accepted to Watson in-state
