Binghamton SOM concerns

I am a freshman looking to transfer from Community college. I am majoring in finance and i'm looking for the best school for this major. I understand Binghamton is a top notch school, but my concern is whether or not the school of management has a trading floor or not for people, like myself, looking to get a feel for the stock market and being able to work with the Bloomberg systems that are actually used on wall street. Also, how well is the school of management and are there opportunities for internships and future jobs?

This is extremely important. Simone please help!

Hi there, I’m a Student Ambassador here at Binghamton and I’m also in SOM. To answer your first question yes, Binghamton does have a trading floor. If you check out this link [Binghamton University - School of Management](School of Management | Binghamton University) two of the scrolling stories on the front page relate to the finance concentration in SOM. At Bingahmton we have alumni on Wall Street and at the Big Four accounting firms, and we’re a key recruiting school for EY, Goldman Sachs and PwC. There’s also an opportunity to become a PwC scholar which is a special program that puts you right in the front seat for awesome networking with PwC recruiters and a host of others. We also have connections with EY through EY connect. You can find out more information here [Binghamton University School of Management - EY - United States](http://www.ey.com/US/en/Careers/Students/Students---Binghamton-University-School-of-Management?CMPNID=US_BG_001_26September2011) I would higly encourage you to check out the site as it can provide much more information than I can here but as far as your question about jobs and internships, almost everyday my email is flooded with new opportunities from recruiters from top notch organizations looking for students. There’s an abundance of internships available.
