When did your daughter apply to Binghamton? I applied in November, before Thanksgiving, but I just unfortunately sent them my SAT scores through collegeboard about two weeks ago. I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner.

My daughter applied also around the end of November, but I sent the sat scores from Collegeboard the same time she applied.

My daughter was accepted to Binghamton as well. She checked online and then the letter came a few days later. Just a letter though not much of an "acceptance package" :)

She never was asked for mid-term grades. But she sent everything in early (EA) and heard back before Christmas so perhaps that's why.

binghamton's so good with the rolling admissions. they're so efficient.

i sent in my stuff at the end of december and heard back from them in the middle of january. amazing.

I sent my application on December 30. Has anyone else who sent it in late December gotten inalready? I know some of you guys sent it mid-late December and heard back already, but I got an e-mail saying that they can't make a decision until March or April because they got so many applications. BUT how could 1-2 weeks make such a big difference? It leads me to think that there was something wrong w/ my application (it's complete, though, b/c it says so) and they need to think it over.

Edit: Does anyone know if Binghamton rejects applicants if they think that the school is a safety for them? My application was still really thorough and well-thought out, though. But I didn't visit or interview, and I used the Common App.

i don't think they'd know whether or not they were your safety.

i also used the common app, so that shouldn't hurt you. and i recycled another essay for the supplemental... it was one i'd written for dartmouth over the summer, but i never applied so it was convenient for me. :)

bing doesn't give an interview.

anyone get a letter from the president saying how good binghamton is?

I sent my app right after christmas...suplement a few days later (used the common app). I was also told that I wouldn't hear until March.

My acceptance letter was dated "Febuary 7th."

Glad I got in somewhere. :)

edit: It's not like Binghamton can tell whether or not they're your safety. They were mine.

yep allure, i got the same letter.

and i also used the common app so if you needed anymore reassurance suburbian, don't sweat it :)

I also used the common app and got acccepted 2/4 by checking the website.
