For the biopsychology major at UCSB, it states that if the biology sequence is incomplete prior to transfer, then you must consult the department advisor prior to enrollment. So, should I wait to be admitted before contacting the department advisor or should I contact the department advisor right away? The reason I couldn't finish the series is because I had to take a psych class, that was required for admission at Davis, to fulfill my TAG with them and there was a time conflict with the botany class needed to complete the biology series at my college.

It sounds like you had a choice between fulfilling Davis’ TAG and UCSB’s TAG, and you went with the former. They probably won’t like that. However, I recommend you contact them prior to admission. It’s better to be proactive when it comes to admissions. I hope it all turns out well.

Well, I listed psychology for my alternate major at UCSB and will finish all but one of the major pre-reqs. Theoretically, can’t I just get into the psych major and finish the one pre-req for psych (same one is needed for biopsych) and finish the botany class at UCSB, therefore finishing the pre-reqs for biopsych, then change majors to biopsychology?

More likely than not you would be able to do that. I would contact UCSB admissions and see what they say!

Haha, the first time I saw your response, I read it as “you would not be able to do that.” Then, I read it again and realized that you were saying that my suggestion was a possibility. You worded your response oddly. Anyways, thanks for the help! I feel a lot better and really want to get into SB.
