Biology Sat Subject Tests

I didn’t know anything about the sat subject tests till 2 yrs after 9th grade biology. I’m taking ap bio next year in 12th grade, but I won’t be able to take the whole course before I take the biology subject test and send results to colleges. So how do I prepare for it so I can get a good score? And when would you suggest would be the best time to take it?

First, there are two Bio SAT 2 tests, and they are somewhat correlated to the two semesters of AP Bio. You should take the SAT 2 that is covered by your first semester of AP Bio, and self-study the rest of the material if you don’t finish it all. And assuming you are not applying early to a school that needs this test, you could take it as late as December or maybe even January (depending on the schools) and still have the score get to them.

That’s same situation I’m in. I took my AP bio as junior this year, will be taking the SAT II probably in June. However, I can’t take Chem nor Math because I won’t take the AP courses until next year. I am taking grade 12 math right now though. My question is whether I should take just the SAT II for bio and wait till December next year for another SAT II’s. Or should I try the math and bio both this june?

I’m afraid that if I wait till December it may be too late for admissions or I might do poorly and have no chance to improve.

The Math Sat 2 only goes through pre-calc, though it also has probabilities and stats in it, which you should study. But if you can prep enough for it, you can take it both together.
