Books on financial aid deferment

Hello,

I have a son at another FL college and at the top of the list of required books there is a notice that he is eligible for a certain amount in book deferment to his financial aid. I do not see that anywhere on the FSU required book list on the blackboard. How do we find out about book fee deferment? Anyone know?

FSU doesn’t do book allowances, but your financial aid award might make you eligible for a deferment at the FSU Bookstore. Phone the FSU Bookstore to see if you can defer payment of books and have books purchased from them paid out of financial aid when it is disbursed.

Thank you very much Tallalassie. And thanks for the link. I had looked everywhere but there I guess.

If you aren’t necessarily dependent upon the financial aid for your son’s textbooks, I highly recommend gathering a list of the ones he will need, and doing some comparative shopping. Unless the book is sold pretty much only at the FSU bookstore and somewhere like Bill’s Bookstore right off campus, there’s a very good chance that it is going to be cheaper elsewhere- especially if you’re willing or able to buy a used book instead of new.
