i hated The Crucible. I just can't imagine whorish 12 year olds in a Puritan community. Besides i just hated the language.

I just finished The Scarlett Letter; read it in the last few days.
Does Hawthorne think that readers are dumb or something? I mean, he has characters in the book explain the obvious symbolism. It wouldn't have been so bad if he wrote assuming that his audience was somewhat intelligent.

Harry Potter series - I found it somewhat ridiculous how the author keeps trying to recycle Voldemort over and over again. I mean, he's not even that great of a villain....sheesh...

I also found the HP universe to be very limited...everything seems so trite, borrowed, and outlandish. Definately not the type of fantasy that I enjoy.

Catcher in the Rye - I would probably punch this kid if he existed in real life. I have no sympathy for whiny losers who think that the world is out to get them.

Their Eyes were Watching God - Eughh...why did we have to read this?
I thought it was poetic justice when the main character shot Teacake. I couldn't stand the guy.

Lord of the Flies - Thank God for Sparknotes.

All Quiet on the Western front was all but constant torture just to read.
