BROWN 2014 - RD Applicants!

At this point I’m actually considering writing a sample draft for each prompt to kind of see where each one takes me. I’m sure one will end up being so much better, I just can’t decide which prompt to do!

Do you guys think doing something as radical as simply listing some of the infinite things I don’t know (ranging from serious to funny) and then summarizing and maybe getting a little more theoretical would be a bad idea? Should I just write a full essay instead? They already have my full essay for the main portion of the common app. as well as a supplementary essay I wrote on my own.

Well, be fast because the deadline is almost here!

I just submitted my supplement, and then I realized that I didn’t write my name, school and birth date at the top of my essay! Will the admissions officer be annoyed? Hopefully I’m just freaking out over nothing. =X

probably just freaking out. i mean you uploaded it with your application or someone else’s? :stuck_out_tongue:
just kidding

once again this wait is gonna suck, i wish they had EA

Guys I just discovered this! hope this helps

http://■■■■■■■/zdt0o

it will be really helpful, DO NOT complete the spaces that you see when you enter the website JUST scroll down and read where it says “Getting Started is Quick and Easy” and follow the steps, that can really help you organize your life with essays.

Brown RD applicant here too! I’m working on the “What don’t you know?” essay too, but I’m still unsure if I should bother trying to come up with something really unique for that or just do a more traditional one. I mean, either way, I want to make it unique of course, but I’m slightly intimidated by the “What don’t you know?” prompt. :P

SAT Today!!

I took them today

Go BROWNNNN!!!

OMG where has this thread been hiding?

I’m an RD applicant!

First choice Brown RD applicant here too. The wait is absolutely excruciating. Especially since none of my other schools had EA, just ED. How are the rest of you coping?

I seriously don’t know how I’m going to make it through these months.

Only two of the schools I applied to had EA, so I’ve got to wait this long for all of my favorite schools, and it’s killing me!

I applied to two safeties EA, so I should hear back from them in the next few weeks, which is nice. Brown actually isn’t my first choice (don’t hurt me!), it’s probably my #3 or #4, but of my top 5 or so it’s definitely the most selective so that’s exciting, in a way.

Hi =] I’m RDing! Not done yet with the essays though…hahah xD

I’m applying RD! Brown is definitely in my top three.

The wait is really too long.

i agree, i applied back in september for RD :S
i wish i chose ed now that i think about it
oh well… i guess i should try to keep living these next couple months haha

wait loooonnggg!

At what time normally Brown releases the decisions for RD??? is it p.m. or a.m.?

I haven’t heard specifically from Brown, but most schools that I do know of send an email around 5 p.m

i couldn’t think of something good for what don’t you know, so I did the advice one
