What are your guy’s stats that applied ED to Brown’s PLME?

I also applied ED/PLME! Can’t wait for decisions to come out!

Wow everyone here is ed plme? Atleast yall will find out soon enough. I did Rd cause I love love brown like a lot but not barely enough to beat stanford

Did you guys get in ED for PLME?

my gut says we would have heard if they did

…here’s the first, i guess! (:

i also applied RD/PLME!

I got into Brown PLME! I am so surprised I did not expect to get in!

To get into PLME it is important to have high unweighted GPA and high test scores, but about 80% of all applicants are enough qualified for the objective portions of the application. Your SAT or GPA is not going to set you apart from all other applicants. What separates applicants is the subjective portion of their application. Outstanding extracurriculars are key. I have a 33 ACT with no SAT and a 3.90 GPA in a IB diploma program. However, I got into the program because of my crazy medical experiences along with my other extracurriculars. I created a non-profit to pay for the travel costs and supply costs of ophthalmologists to travel with me to 3rd world countries to remove cataracts out of blind individuals. In my essays I displayed my source of my passion for medicine and my extraordinary experiences in Ecuador and Honduras. In direct response to infoneed, your gpa seems low and you need to make sure you try to distinguish yourself from other applicants in your essays because your extracurriculars seem generic and many other applicants will have the same shadowing and community service hours.

I applied RD/PLME

Is PLME hard to get into? If you’re on the medical track, is it recommended to apply via PLME?

agreatperhaps - As a PLME student, you’d have lots of opportunities as an undergrad that wouldn’t otherwise be available to you. Look at the info about PLME on the Brown website. Yes, it’s difficult to be admitted to - it’s a pretty phenomenal program!

@agreatperhaps13
its one of the hardest undergrad programs to get into PERIOD…its harder to get into than every school in the country (stanford harvard included)… and the pool’s usual strength is astonishing especially in the medical area…

im applying and im not expecting much (if anything) but im just hoping to get itno BROWN but plme would be SO SO SO great…

I’m applying PLME. I highly doubt I’ll get in as I’m not that fabulous. But, it can’t hurt to try.
