Brown Class of 2020 Early Decision Discussion

@brownedapp2020 I’m pretty sure Brown has said that their acceptance rate for people who were deferred ED is consistent with the overall acceptance rate of RD

Although Brown is my dream school, I think I will apply EDII elsewhere when deferred.

Where @Gdawg30 ? I was planning on vandy ed ii

@XCjunior2016 That’s so funny!!! I was actually almost set on Vandy, but I think I actually will go with Bowdoin!

omg results aren’t even out yet and ya’ll are talking about where to apply EDII. this is depressing lol

haha @greentealover

Update on the wiki.brown.edu site thing, if you look on the People Directory, there is a list of a bunch of current students (I’m assuming) with their email addresses. Is anybody’s name on there?

At least you guys know when decisions come out. We Dartmouth ED applicants have no clue.

@rapt0rs would applicants be on there already? since you can still accept or reject an ED if the financial app isn’t up to par?

@rapt0rs Haha I actually see my name and my profile there lol. But it doesn’t say anything under it.

My name is there when I search for it, but I still think it’s strange because even if I was accepted I still haven’t enrolled

i am literally dying for the results

Anyone’s name NOT on it???

@greentealover Yeah I was thinking the same thing, because technically we haven’t enrolled yet. Whateva I’m just gonna try not to think about it too much until Dec 10 gah

What’s weird is that some of my friends’ names who also applied to Brown ED appear on the search, but some do not.

a

@xda No one that I know who applied to Brown from my school appeared when I searched them up. I’m wondering if we can only see our own profile, and not any other potential students.

@Gdawg30 to be honest, although your sat score is okay, you really should break at least 700 on each section if you want to have a “decent” chance at Brown. Your cr is fantastic. Your gpa looks fine. (btw what’s your course load like and whats your UW GPA?). Your US history score is good. However, you really should have at least 2-3 good SAT2 scores other than language for Ivy league schools. I understand that scores aren’t everything. But unless you are an incredible athlete (are you?) or has a strong hook, you really should be able to compete with strong numbers

@ALananhR that would make sense except I did see one of my friend’s profiles appear (first name, last name, and middle initial all correct). I’m perplexed.

This confuses me a little. If you count it up, there’s about 50 names per page. So 50 * 35 = 1750 . Weird?
