good guess! Let’s be formal: the format is xlastname where x is the first letter of your first name.

You don’t need to submit SATIIs.

@ Lobzz

"Standardized Test Results

We require either the SAT Reasoning Test (SAT I) AND any two SAT Subject Tests (SAT II), OR the ACT (including the writing section). "

from their website

This was an exciting afternoon… but the question going forward is: Now what?

It is still about a month until we hear back!

@ anyone confused about standardized testing:

“Standardized Testing
For freshman applicants, Brown normally expects to see either the SAT Reasoning Test (SAT I) and any two SAT Subject Tests (SAT II), or the complete ACT (with Writing). For transfer students, we also prefer to see such scores. However, since the college you are endeavoring to transfer from may not have required such examinations as part of their admission requirement, we will not retroactively place this as a requirement on you as a Brown transfer applicant But please note that the SAT’s give us one tool (among others) of comparing applicants across a wide variety of secondary school preparation, and so we do encourage you to take one or the other, if you have not done so previously.”

I know! I can’t wait to hear back. At least once I get my rejection I can stop obsessing, hahaha.

Don’t think like that! If they have everything just relax! Do you have finals before or after “mid may”?

Very few universities require SATIIs.

@ NEU2NU- I’m actually all done with classes until the fall. I’ve been done for about two weeks now. My time is occupied with worrying, waiting, and finishing other apps haha. So fun! :p

WOW! You lucky dog. haha. What school do you go to?

…the secondary school report is missing…
Can we fax the missing material to them or the only option is to mail them???

Haha I got finals b4 the decision which is good - I will have a lot of (hopefully justified) motivation to study. Plus I won’t have to suffer any loss in grade due to emotional reasons lol!

You can fax any document that does not have any official seals…

I don’t even know why I applied here. How intense is financial aid taken into consideration? What do you all think will constitute as a good candidate for financial aid?

What address would we fax the official report?

Should you wish to provide additional material for your file, or believe credentials to be missing, please fax this information to (401) 863-9300.

@ Lobzz-- I just received my AA from a cc which is why I’m done so early. I have a ton of family and legal stuff to wrap up before I move (hopefully to Providence!) so the time is much appreciated. The only downside is that I don’t have anything to distract me.

@ NEU2NU-- That is really good. I don’t think I could handle having finals after the decisions. I would be too caught up in anticipation that I wouldn’t be able to focus on my studies.

So what schools are you all applying besides Brown? Is Brown everyone’s top choice?

What Brown and I have is more than a applicant-school relationship, as of late. I WOULD call it love, but the feeling doesn’t seem to be mutual… yet. Does that answer your question? :)

I’m also applying to Dartmouth, Tufts, WUSTL, and Cornell.

Brown, Northwestern, Oberlin, Northeastern - In that order

^haha. I just randomly love how you applied to NorthWESTERN and NorthEASTERN. I tend to be random, oftentimes.
