I’m going to take a gander and say that the inability to log in is probably a server error - or maybe their updating something in your account, like financial aid or something like that. I can still log in, but who knows?

For me, at least, it doesn’t “say” anything–it just refreshes the page, with bboth fields now blank. Weird.
Anyway, it may well mean a rejection, but at this point we just have no way of knowing. Don’t get me wrong–I’m extremely anxious about my decision, but I’m not stressing too much about this.

I would assume it’s nothing. If it’s just like that starting today, then it’s clearly a server thing since the admissions office isn’t even open or doing anything right now (weekend).

If you look around in other transfer threads, it seems that admission account website glitches are not uncommon. Also, over analyzing glitches as “signs” seems to be very common on CC. (I am certainly guilty of it!)

I wouldn’t really claim neither brown or cornell are better, probably about the same. I think Brown is better known though. I remember some guy was trying to sell me on a cornell degree but he failed to mention it was ivy league and I never heard of it before. That being said its still a good school.

i called the admissions office on thursday asking why the hell they’re wasting so much paper sending our rejection letters, instead of posting everything online–the answer to this question has something to do with the reason as to why many of you can’t log on to your Brown accounts. Supposedly, Brown is having trouble with its online system (hence many of you cant log on), and thus they’re going to send out decisions via mail instead.
