Brown Medical Program

Hi guys! Question: When filling out the Brown supplement, if I answer the portion for their medical program, does that mean that if I’m rejected from the medical program I’m rejected from brown?

I’m not sure whether or not to fill out the two questions for it–*I think others might have stronger backgrounds in terms of medicine, but I would like to apply since it’s definitely a field I’m considering and I appreciate the liberal arts tie-in. Even if I didn’t get into it, though, I think I’d be a good fit for Brown in general. I just don’t want to risk not getting in by applying to a ridiculously competitive program even though I think I might have a shot at a very competitive school.

In short: if I apply for the program, is it possible for me to get rejected from it but still get into the school?

As I’ve answered millions of times before (search does work here!):

Your application goes first to Brown. If they admit you, then it’ll be sent along to PLME. If they don’t admit you, then PLME doesn’t even see your app. You can be admitted to Brown and PLME or just Brown (or not admitted at all). There’s no harm in applying.

I believe they also make this very clear on the PLME admissions website.
