@yrose17 that also seems like an unusually high amount of people to get accepted to an Ivy League at one school, but perhaps that is normal for your school.
Okay now I’m thinking it’s actually bad news to NOT have gotten the call. FOUR accepted already in one school? Really and truly? Where is this school?
REALLY disconcerting. I will encourage my kid to email her admissions counselor to ask if all admitted students have been told already. I’m super disappointed in Brown admissions for doing this.

I emailed my counselor this afternoon. She didn’t write me back yet. There are 3 students from my school who applied ED. I don’t know if they got calls today.
I think we should all calm down and not believe everything you read on the internet. Yes, it could be the case but is unlikely. There’s a few possibilities:
a) t-r-olls (CC is changing it to ******). they abound CC
b) the genuine glitch thing-maybe these kids’ accounts weren’t working at all, they would’ve been accidentally rejected, etc.
c) a localized glitch-maybe it happened to half of the kids in one school because only one admission counselor was affected
etc… lots of possibilities. It frustrates me too, but even if it’s true, don’t let this make you dislike Brown. As important as the admissions staff is now, they do not impact your Brown experience whatsoever unless you are a student tour guide. So don’t let a few admissions officers taint your image of a wonderful university that employs thousands of people, including some admissions officers. And, we don’t know their reasons. I doubt they are acting maliciously-so hold off on the judgement for a bit,

@ap012199 @DuelingGloves my school got 5 Brown acceptances last year, so this isn’t entirely unprecedented.
I created a results thread for those of you who got the ‘special’ call so please post, the rest of us are really curious!!
@profdad2021 I go to a private school in SoCal. We’re a college prep school, so we usually send 15-20 kids to Ivies per year, plus another 5-10 to schools like Pamona/Stanford

I feel like everyone who was accepted ED got the glitch and so got the phone call…
@appleby1 i know of some who got a call and were not accepted.
then it was probably just a localized glitch not related to the decision
