I was waitlisted. I’m actually pretty flattered about that. Honestly, I thought I would’ve been an easy reject.

jan, how did you find out? You got something in the mail?

What did the letter say?

I called yesterday to explain that I’d be away for a few days. They were nice enough to accommodate me and give me the information over the phone.

They also told me that decisions were mailed on Thursday. So, if you still don’t know, it’s likely that you’ll get something in the mail today.

To the folks above who got in, CONGRATS! That being said, isn’t there somewhere else you’d rather go? ;)

Ah… who did you speak with?

And yeah if they were mailed Thursday I will likely get something today.

It’s a big accomplishment just to be waitlisted I think. It means they wanted to take you, but most likely they ran out of available financial aid (since the process isn’t need blind)

Nothing in the mail for me today… looks like I get to wait until Monday

What’s the word, people?

Got my letter today.

Waitlisted as well.

funny thing - i ran into the rue admissions guy last night about 1:30am at Nice Slice on Thayer. I was a little buzzed (after winning trivia night at a club and getting a $25 credit at the bar) as was my friend…so it was an interesting meet up for them I believe.

Trivia nights are great. Except, at the bar where I work, where I feel as though it’s usually just a competition between Team iPhone and everyone else.

Which guy, wolf?

Anything to report, people?

Toast- Did you get any kind of welcome package yet? I received my decision and financial aid letter, but that’s it.

I didn’t. I received an email from Elisha about a question I had put on my response card, but other than that I haven’t received anything. Do you have any idea on when we should receive additional information?

I’m not sure. I’m calling admissions today, and will ask about additional info.

Brown received my commitment card on the 13th, so I should expect my ‘Matriculation Package’ by the middle of next week. Eric sounded somewhat surprised that I had not received it already.

I sent my card, well…the day I got it…and I live in Providence… So odds are they’ve had it for a while. I was starting to get worried about not having received any follow-up packets. I think I’ll follow suit and call tomorrow. Thanks for the update Stuck.

By the way, where are you from Stuck? What are you looking to study? (feel free to PM me if you’d like to chat)

Hey there! Is anyone else considering applying for spring 2010? I’m debating whether to apply for RUE, which makes so much more sense for me for a lot of reasons, or the traditional transfer program. I’ll be turning 24 in January, right before the semester starts, so my age points me toward RUE. However, I’ve been enrolled in community college since I was 19 (though I literally never went to high school), even though my experience definitely doesn’t make me a “traditional” student. I think I’m going to have to call them and ask about which way to go.

Anyone else on the cusp have success with RUE?

"I am also applying for Fall 2010. I called the office of Admissions and the guy in the RUE program was very helpful! He was nice and thorough about the program. Best of luck to you

Any news for those on the waiting list? All quiet on the Eastern front.
