BU housing?

But that's it right? For May 1st? Online is convinient. I don't like the post office. =/ They have bad hours and the closest one to my house is a hole in the wall.

Yea, I think thats it. I did the same. I'm so excited!!! :)

Me too! And scared. >_< I keep thinking college will be too hard and I should just hide under my bed right now. =/

Does anyone know if a sophomore can get a dorm in Bay State Rd? I might try the Core House.

going with specialty housing makes it easier to get into brownstones. You probably could as a sophomore

Yeah if there's any specialty housing you qualify for, make sure you fill out the specialty housing requests the end of freshman year before housing appointments. It could make the difference between being stuck in a Hyatt or living in a brownstone.

How do you qualify for specialty houing?

Everything about specialty housing:
Boston University Housing

The Core House, btw, is not on Bay State, but on Carlton Street on South Campus. I hear it's a really beautiful house, though!

Most of the specialty houses on Bay State are foreign language dorms. Those are absolutely exquisite and are quite difficult to get into except through the pull-in option. I don't know if there are rooms set aside for incoming freshmen but I doubt it.

Oh, I thought it was located in Bay State. Not bad though, just a block away from BU. Is anyone currently living in the Core House, or, know anyone living in it? How are the people? Any engaging activities planned specifically for Core House students?

I really can't imagine the Hyatt being necessary for Fall 2009, given that half of the StuVi 2 is designated for sophomores...

Hyatt isn't being used for freshman anymore. They now entice others to live there. BTW, the Hyatt was a very good choice for many freshman because second term - when they've sorted out who is moving, who is off campus - you get first shot at rooms. Since you can keep your room the next year, that can be big.

Oh I know freshmen aren't being put in the Hyatt, he asked about sophomore housing though. But yeah, I forgot that Stuvi2 is supposed to be done by then. So it shouldn't be an issue.

Anyone in this thread a transfer to BU? What are you doing about housing? Anyone need a roommate or know anyone that does? Just looking in case I can't get on campus housing....I would like to room with a BU student :)

Sorry, I don't know about transfer students. =/ Maybe you should e-mail the school?
