BU RD Class of 2022

I applied 12/1 and still have “our records”

Mine says this. Is this a good sign…?

We will email you during the application review process if we are missing any required credentials for your application. You will be directed to check this page to see which credentials are not yet received.

@StressedSeniorInt We don’t know. Don’t let this stress you!

4.0 UW, 4.2 W, 30 ACT, “thank you” message

@YoungOne4 I applied to CAS and my message changed about a week ago

3.6 UW, 27 ACT, “Thank you” message!

Let me debunk this conspiracy. The message on the portal is not necessarily indicative of an admissions decision. See the Northeastern thread where @TomSrOfBoston has repeatedly stated this. I know, it’s a different college but it’s the same idea.

3.9 W/unknown UW, 1320 SAT (roughly 28 ACT comparable), applied to college of communications, “our records” message

Wait is this message only for people who have applied ED? I applied RD and nothing is on my page…

@jj1999 No, this applies for RD applicants as well. Your message should be on the admissions status page, which you can get to by going to the drop down menus on either side of the main page.

@emzowe http://prntscr.com/iqe00v I got this message. Safe or nah

What does it say when you click on senior grades

As someone who has the “thank you” message, I would love to believe that there’s a correlation for RD between the message and your admissions decision. However, it just doesn’t seem that important to be speculated much. We find out in four days, that’s soon enough; read a book, listen to music, do a coloring book, watch Netflix, whatever, but don’t waste time speculating, just wait for the decision. Be patient, as hard as it is.

@StressedSeniorInt I wouldn’t worry about getting into housing, all of the accepted ED1 kids don’t even have access to housing yet :’) since we don’t even have access and we’ve paid the tuition deposit I don’t think it would matter whether or not y’all did, but honestly who knows because we all know BU is quite shady with all the portals and all that!!

@MrElonMusk @EmZoWe @jj1999 though we have very unscientific data, for every single person who applied ED1 in the last couple years on here (which I would say amounts to like 30 people per year on this thread) there was a correlation. Trust me, it sounds crazy to me too but there hasn’t been a single exception! For RD though there doesn’t seem to be any sort of correlation, so anyone on this thread worrying about their message–don’t worry!! I know this isn’t very helpful and frankly I was panicking too four days before they announced decisions but I promise worrying about the message won’t make a difference in this case. Just get lots of sleep and remember that whether or not you get in, you are wonderful and college admissions are very subjective

So do you mean ED1 and got deferred or just ED1 and got accepted without being moved to the regular pool?

Look, forget the correlation and the “hidden messages”. THERE IS NO CORRELATION. Just wait and see okay?

@catdog11 I applied ED1 this year and was accepted. If you are talking about everyone, I don’t know anything about people who applied ED1 and were deferred correlation wise but I assume there wouldn’t be any since those applicants are now in the RD pool. But this is total speculation

if this helps, i was deferred from ed2 and in the ed thread we all realized that thank you is accepted/ denied and that our records is deferral. and mine hasnt changed soooo

It must not apply for rd then
