hey guys,
The first time i took the SAT's i got
CR 720 Math: 750 Writing: 680
1470 & 2150

This time I got
CR 660 Math 760 Writing 800
1420 & 2240

Superscore: 1480 & 2280

I know Maryland doesn't look at Writing, so did I only improve 10 points? Does this writing score help at all?
Oh, and does maryland superscore? So they wont look at my CR going down

Is Maryland now so selective that it routinely rejects candidates who only score a 1480 (M&CR) on the SAT? We’re talking UMCP, right? Not Penn? What am I missing?

You pretty much need a 1300 minimum out of 1600 to get into MD these days. You are fine for admission. I think you are good for scholars and possibly honors.

If your GPA is high, you are well within what people have that receive honors/scholars/scholarships. If it is stellar, you’ll be even better off.
