Burned Out, Needs Help ASAP

I've been going to this korean-based SAT prep class called C2 for the last 9 months...and have I seen drastic improvements? No. I've been studying like crazy these last months, buying at least 5 different SAT/ACT books and practicing. I've taken the SAT twice now (waiting on this last score) and the ACT once. Now, I'm getting really tired of going to this SAT class and I feel totally burned out. I can't even look at another practice test. I'm so frustrated and my scores are always the same. 1500. 1500. What do I do? I'm driving myself crazy and I have no time! What do I do?

Just take a break - take time to gather yourself and reset your goals again. Which sections are you having trouble with? More info please.

Stop taking the SAT prep class. If you’ve been doing it for 9 months and haven’t seen improvement, there’s something wrong with its teaching style.

I used to go to C2 too! It was very hardcore… 4 hours each day for like 8 weeks.

If you have been buying SAT books on your own to study in addition to the class, then I think you should be seeing improvement…

Do you get very nervous on test day? Sometimes you have to enter with the mentality of “it doesn’t matter what I get this time.” A bit easier when you’re on your first sitting.

My worst section is the math but I’ve been focusing on CR + W in order to compensate for my math. C2 is hardcore and I just feel like they want my money and all they do is give me practice tests…I do get nervous but since I’m a senior I don’t have much time to take SATs anymore and the clock is ticking! I’m refusing to study from now on and yes I have changed study habits several times and nothing works I guess…it’s me…

Stop c2 and study on your own. That place is a waste of money and time.

Have you been there? I feel bad quitting and my hours aren’t up yet ---- argh I guess I’ll have to. I’m just afraid these last SAT scores are going to be low…then what do I do?

Then you continue your life.

An SAT score doesn’t decide what you do with your life, you do.

Finish up your hours then leave! This summer I was in their bootcamp, it was a waste of money dude

I think that’s what I’m going to do…it’s gonna be tough to quit since they always want me to come in and demand more $$$$$. Thank you, everyone!
