Bursley and BUSING IT TO Central campus for everything?

So.....you need to take the bus to go

to the libraries,(UGLi and GRAD)
the Union for the general meetings for rush, & other campus group mtgs
for any bars,
restaurants ( like Cottage Inn....not Panda Express)
bookstores ( realizing there's a B&N one in Pierpont with limited hours)
computer fixes ( or do they have that service at Pierpont too & not
the just Union....assuming u buy your computer there)
any non-college retail stores, like Urban Outfitters
any theaters
haircut/salon type places
......

please tell me i'm wrong, but I have looked at other posts for North campus and I'm asking if..actually...what.. do people do besides going to the Dude or Pierpont or NCRB? Please be kind! I'm just asking...don't mean to offend anyone who loves North campus!

Yes, if you live in Bursley, you need to take the bus to go everywhere (usually even to Pierpont).
I think the Pierpont branch of the Computer Showcase (the computer shop) will be open by Fall 2008.

Anyways, if you live in North Campus, you have to live with the bus hehe. If you have a 1 hour interval between classes (and you're in Central), you'll really want to go back to your room sometimes but can't because of the fact that you'll have to wait for the bus, go up, stay for like 10 min, wait for the bus again, and come back down. Stuff like that.

Also, the weekends will be annoying. Not only do less buses run in the weekend but more people will also try to go to Central (I didn't live up North, but there were times I went up during the weekend, and there were times when I waited for an hour to get in the bus).

thanks, undesputed. I guess taking buses=Michigan winters. You just have to deal with it (if you're on North). okay.

when waiting for the bus from Bursley, do you have to stand outside, or does it pull up to the front of the building.

There's a bus stop right outside the dorm (with a booth and everything), but yes, you still stand outside (if you're wondering about waiting for the bus in the winter, yes it's cold).
