Business

I am looking for a school with a good business program that I could get into. My GPA is a 3.2 but I go to a prestigious high school and kids get into good schools with below average GPA's. My estimated ACT is a 28. Money or location is not a issue. ( I would prefer if the school was in the midwest or west)

You could try NYU...I dunno if your chances would be too good
Texas-Austin, Rochester, Indiana, USC, Purdue, Maryland...they are all great!

im still gonna say baylor

I looked at USC but don't think I could get in. Any in the midwest?

Some of these schools you listed are really tough to get into. They all have harder business program standards. NYU stern is much harder than the much of the rest of NYU. Even UMD has an average of a 3.9 weighted(I assume W because all they write is 3.9) GPA and a 1360 for their business school.

University of Wisconsin-Madison.

That was what I was thinking. UW-madison doesn't allow anyone into business right away anyway so as long as you think you can do good at UW and get a 3.5 you can enter into a top 15 business prgoram at a respected school. A 3.2/28 is right around their numbers but getting good grades this last semester of your junior year is important to have it as a good fit.

indiana - kelley school of business.

isn't the IU kelly school harder to get into that IU itself? BUt i do think that is a good option.

Cheapseats, "A 3.2/28 is right around their numbers but getting good grades this last semester of your junior year is important to have it as a good fit." I agree about the jr year statement, but a 3.2 is not near their numbers. UW-Madison's breakdown is 26-30 ACT (so yeah, 28 is the average) but the GPAs are 3.5-3.9 with a 3.7 average academic GPA. A 3.2 is far below. HOWEVER, if this person goes to a prestigious HS then he should look at how 3.2 gpas did before. I think the poster is looking for schools like Indiana, Wisconsin, and Michigan. Big public midwester type schools with larger OOS populations.

University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management.

yeah transfer i guess you are right. I just thought with his above average school he would have a greater chance.

My school is a good school and I'll post up the site where people can look at the stats again.

It fits with what transfer was saying. it says 35% for a 3.2 and a 28. DO not let this discourage you. Trends are important. Remember to finish strong.

Just as an example. I got into UW- Mad with a 1380(M-770, V-610) 3.4 UW 3.9 W. Finished stronger my last two years. Junior year I had a 4.3 W
