Cal State Fullerton plans for online fall. It is starting folks…
Below is copied/pasted from another poster on another thread:
“Our plan is to enter [the fall] virtually,” said Pamella Oliver, the schools provost, at a virtual town hall. “Of course that could change depending on the situation, depending on what happens with COVID-19. But at this point that’s what we’re thinking.”
They are on semesters, no? So have to make the call earlier than those on the quarter system. Holding out hope for both my college students–UCD is also on quarters…
@Caliken@NightHawkIV@Savvydog For perspective, the current national average four-year grad rate is around 40%, and the six-year rate is only about 60%. Unfortunately that’s just the state of higher education. Even the very top schools are lower than you’d expect. But Cal Poly’s average is relatively high.
Someone mentioned that they haven’t seen acceptance rates. Just came across this recent article that outlines stats on freshman and transfer students for 2020.
San Jose State planning for online fall. Second Cal-State by my count to announce. Doesn’t mean CP-SLO will, but I think they will.
"Del Casino Jr. said in a letter Wednesday. “The best option, for now, based on what we know is to plan that the majority of our courses – particularly lecture courses – will be fully online.”
@mrglubglub: I cannot tell you with all certainty that Honors college acceptances notification were prior to May 1 but logically they should be since this would be a possible reason to accept or decline SLO. I would email admissions to find out for sure.
When do FINAL SLO Wait Lists results come in by? May 15th or June 15th?
Waitlisted for Science & Mathematics College.
What was the date last year for last waitlists admissions?
Hi everyone. Someone mentioned earlier, how long does it take to get off the wait list. My daughter was wait listed and she found out she got in the second week of April.
For those still on the wait list, dont give up hope. I read somewhere that sending a letter to the admissions once you find yourself on a waitlist helps. My daughter wasnt buying it but I had her send letters to all the schools she was waitlisted on and she got into all of them and quickly. They usually responded with a yes within two weeks of sending the letter to the admissions office. So it cant hurt. What hurt her the most was saying: ok mom, you were right!
Hope you don’t mind me asking, but is your daughter in-State or OOS? From what I saw, most of the WL acceptances that had already been sent were to OOS applicants - were any to in-state people?
She is in State to Cal Poly and was waitlisted and got in after two weeks of the letter.
She also got off the waitlist for GW and UW but both out of state.
