Electrical engineering, I think.
Yes I meant what is the projection for EE?
Is it still possible that decisions are coming out today or is everyone thinking it’ll be sometime later this week?
Does anyone know in what type of situations they accept a student to their second choice major?
I think EE had 1037 applicants for 180 seats. So if they assumed that only 1/3 that were accepted would enroll, I think about 52% were accepted (180*3/1037)
They are not qualified enough for their first major choice.
1037 applicants for 180 spots in EE. @Greg_MacDonald bet me to it.
Not looking like it
Last year they started coming out around 3:29
Is that this year or last year?
Last year
Last year
If they come out today, I would expect it to be in the next 10-15 minutes
Is that what the states are from this admission cycle or is that what it was last year?
I’m basing what I’m saying off of what happened last year.
The most common scenario I have seen in regards to being accepted into your alternate major were Engineering majors that selected a major in another college like Physics, Math, Stats or some majors in the College of Agriculture, Foods and Environmental Sciences.
Here’s the acceptance % for last year engineering:
Biomed 16%
Mech 22%
Environ 23%
Civil 38%
EE 52%
Materials 85%
No emails yet for me.
I guess what I mean is…is everyone who doesn’t get in for their first choice automatically considered for their second? Do they run the numbers for both first and second major choice for every student?
Last year most people found out on their portals before receiving an email
