I’m a senior and am thinking of applying to SLO early action (back up is SDSU) but I’m not sure how good of a chance I have of getting in.
After lots of research I got a basic idea of their eligibility index point system and here’s what I got (based on the formula):
CSU GPA 3.63 x 535.7 = 1944.71 points
SAT 760 math, 690 english (1450) x 1.03125 = 1495.3125 points
I took 4 extra semester of advanced math so its an extra 500 points, 2 extra visual arts so 50 points, 21+ hrs of work a week is 100 points, 21+ hours of ECs is 150 points, and leadership role is 60 points.
This adds up to a score of exactly 4,300. I read somewhere the minimum is around 4500 but that seemed too high, does anyone think/know of what they will think of my score? Also, I am applying as a political science major so the major isn’t as impacted as some of the others, like computer engineering.
Thank you!!
