Calculating GPA

I graduated from high school in June 2012. However, due to health issues, I won’t be attending college until Fall 2013.

I’m wondering how high school GPA is calculated for admissions when the applicant has already gotten senior grades and graduated.

I did not do very well in senior year due to health issues. Is senior year calculated into the high school GPA?

I don’t think most universities will care about your reasons for doing bad.

Here is how to calculate your high school GPA: [CSUMentor - Plan for College - High School Students - GPA Calculator](<a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU)

I don’t think you count your freshman year. Anyways, a high SAT score can somewhat offset a bad GPA for a CSU school.

I realize that schools don’t care about my reasons for doing bad. My question is whether senior year is calculated into my GPA if grades are available. Since most people apply during senior year, their scores aren’t available, so counselors tell us only sophomore and junior year grades are used. But since I do have senior year grades, I’m wondering whether senior year grades are used in calculating GPA.

Short answer: Yes.
