I'm not going to USC until the 28th/1st. I know the invitation says business attire but exactly how dressed up is everyone getting? Just dressing nice or full suit?

I'm a girl but wasnt sure if others (girls) were actually wearing a jacket or just a sweater or blouse.... but I guess its better to dress up than down.

Are the interviews completely different for each school? If so how many finalists does anyone think are for each school (for me the college)? Finalists therefore would becompeting against a smaller, possibly stronger group of applicants.

just the college of LAS, does anyone think one is necessarily easier or harder than the other? Plus is each school looking for different characteristics/traits in the interviews?

im pretty ****ed about USC. I am only in the running for the Presidential (thats half tuition) scholarship.
I thought my stats were good enough to warrant a Trustee's:
1590 SATs
4.3 GPA
800, 780, 770
Varsity bball, debate, newspaper editor
Lots of community service, Medical research

I don't mean to be cocky but I think im just as qual'd as the rest of yall. But my essays were pretty bad.

I think my essay had alot to do with my nomination for the trustee. Mine was about some unique experiences I've had, therefore I bet thay interested them more than my stats or extracurriculars.

Is anyone else going for explore USC on the 28th and 1st? So far everyone's said they're going this thurs and fri.

I'm going to the first session... I will be interviewing w/ Arts and Sciences... brownjigga that is REALLY weird... you were definitely more qualified than me, but I do have to agree that essays probably counted a lot (although mine were recycled too...??)

Well tonight is the last time I'll be on here until after I return from LA, woohoo! All the way from Georgia.... see y'all there!

I was deferred from Yale EA and used one of my essays. though revised it a tad.

I know last year there were 92 trustee scholars and the year before 129. Why is there such a difference? Does that mean they make the decision based on who they like in the interviews rather than by a quota?

The college of letters, arts and sciences. My major is International Relations (global business) though, so I might be interviewing with the School of International Relations even though its part of the college.

Maybe since they took so few last year, or a smaller percentage matriculated, there will be around 120 scholars instead of only 100.
